New Sleeping Dogs DLC Released, 'Year of the Snake'

Square-Enix's latest sandbox game, Sleeping Dogs, has received it's second DLC installment which is titled "Year of the Snake."  The new add-on content brings a whole new "short story" to extend the game.

Wei Shen's story continues in Year of the Snake as he rejoins the ranks of the Hong Kong Police Department in a series of new missions set immediately after the main game. A vicious end-of-the-world cult is taking root in the back streets of Hong Kong... the Cult of the Snake. Hell-bent on cleansing the city of its evils, they cannot be negotiated with as they pursue a path to their righteous salvation. With an arsenal of weapons, including teargas guns and electroshock pistols, new outfits and abilities, Wei must enter a race against the clock to bring the cultists to justice before Judgment Day.

I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs tremendously, and completed the game in just a handful of days. The previous DLC, Nightmare in North Point, was short, but a very enjoyable extra side story. You can pick up on Year of the Snake for 560 MSPs in the Xbox Live Marketplace, or $7.00 on the Playstation Network. Also, for all you achievement hunters out there, the content add four achievements for 100 gamerscore.

Hitman HD Trilogy Details

The Hitman series has been going on on for more than a decade now, and in my opinion, the best one yet, Hitman: Absolution, was released just a couple months ago. Now all you Hitman fans can rejoice, Square-Enix has announced they are releasing a Hitman HD Trilogy containing Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money.

Today, Squre-Enix released three new screenshots of the upcoming title.

You can expect to find Hitman HD Trilogy in stores on January 29th in the US, and February 1st in Europe.

Next LEGO Title: Marvel Super Heroes

Traveller's Tales has been putting LEGO in every movie franchise that's gotten big so far, and people have been begging for a Marvel adaptation of the LEGO games. It has happened! Today Traveller's Tales announced their next upcoming title, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

Tom Stone, the Mananging Direct at Traveller's Tales, seemed very excited to re-create the Marvel universe:

"We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in 'LEGO Marvel Super Heroes'. Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe."


It's also mentioned that there will be over 100 playable characters in the game, so you will be able to play as your favorite Marvel hero. The game is set to release sometime this fall. We will keep you updated with further news, and the release date of LEGO Twilight.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 Teaser

Every year, EA Sports bring us a new Tiger Woods PGA Tour title, and each year they've tried to include more and more of  some type of "story mode" which most of it has been a look into Tiger's life, and has even gave us the chance to place as young Tiger when he was just learning his incredible golf skills. This year it seems Tiger Woods PGA Tour will be focusing on Legends, in the upcoming title, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, and will introduce Arnold Palmer and several other golf legends as available characters.

Far Cry 3 Achievement Videos

I've recently completed all the achievements for the amazing Ubisoft title, Far Cry 3, and it is no doubt one of the top 5 games of the year. There are a couple achievements that can make for quite a struggle, and I made a couple videos to help you obtain that 1000 gamerscore (or platinum trophy for you PS3 players).


Never Saw It Coming (on hang glider):
This achievement requires you to perform a death from above from a parachute, hang glider, or a zipline. If you have already cleared the game, then the zipline is out of the question. Here is my take on getting that Death From Above from a hang glider.

Poacher Achievement:

The poacher achievement requires you to kill and skin a rare animal. There are only a few of these special creatures in the world of Far Cry 3, and with our video, you'll be able to snag this achievement for yourself.

A New Grand Theft Auto V Trailer

Rockstar released the second trailer to the game almost everyone's waiting for, Grand Theft Auto V, this morning, and it's already caused quite the hype. The trailer gives glimpses of several missions and other dialogue from the game. Grand Theft Auto V is set to release in the Spring of 2013, but if you need your GTA fix sooner than that, don't forget that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is coming to iOS and Androids real soon.

And if you need more time out of your current Grand Theft Auto games, be sure to check into modding Grand Theft Auto 3 on your iPhone or Android.

Disney's Epic Mickey 2 Collector's Edition Revealed

Disney has released details on their upcoming title, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, and it's collector's edition. At the moment, this edition is only confirmed for Europe. The Epic Mickey 2: Collectors Edition will include:

• Exclusive Mickey or Oswald figurine
• Exclusive film cell from 1928 short "The Fox Chase"
• Exclusive retro TV packaging
• An 8GB Oswald USB drive w/ Disney content

Epic Micky 2: The Power of Two is set to release for the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Sony Playstation 3 on November 18th, 2012.

Jet Set Radio Making It's Way to iOS, PSVita, and Android

I'm sure quite a few people remember the unique game, Jet Set Radio, which was created by Smilebit, and released in 2000 on Sega's Dreamcast. We were lucky enough to see the title revived, and receive a HD port on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 earlier this year. Sega, who published the game in 2000, has announced today that they are also releasing the port on the PSVita, iOS phones, and Android phones on November 29th. No word on the price tag yet for any of the systems, but we will fill you in as soon as we know.

The last DLC for Modern Warfare 3 will arrive October 10th on PS3 & PC

 

Infinity Ward, the creators of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, have announced via twitter that the final DLC, which includes five different maps, will be released on on October 10th on PS3 and PC. If you are an Xbox 360 player, this is the DLC you all received at the first of this month. The five maps are:

• Off Shore
• Gulch
• Decommission
• Parish
• Boardwalk

Call of Duty Elite subscribers will be able to pick the content up on October 9th. This will be the final DLC since Black Ops 2, the next installment in the Call of Duty series, will be released in 2 months.

FIFA 13 demo is out today!

EA Sport's next installment in the extremely popular soccer series, FIFA 13, is soon to be released worldwide. The demo has been released today on the Xbox 360 and PC in America and the UK. Playstation 3 user's will be getting the demo later today after the PSN update is released. FIFA 13 will be released on September 25th, 2012.

Capcom announces upcoming DLC for 'Resident Evil 6'

Capcom announced today, that they will be releasing exclusive DLC for the Xbox 360, for the future installment in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 6. The DLC will include three different playable game modes called Survivor, Siege and Predator.

Survivor mode takes an interesting twist on the classic solo and team-based versus matches. When you are killed as a human, you will respawn as an enemy character. As one of the enemies, you can kill two human characters to respawn back into one of the human characters.

In siege mode, players as human will be protecting a NPC character, while the opposing enemy team attempts to kill the NPC.

Predator assigns an enemy plays as the fearsome B.O.W., Ustanak, who tries to eliminate all human players. The game ends when Ustanak has killed all the remaining humans, or the humans kill Ustanak, or make it to the end safely.

Capcom also announced to keep looking forward to other future DLC including new maps for the add-on game modes. Resident Evil 6 is expected to release on October 2nd, 2012.

'PES 2013' release date is revealed

As soccer fans have been patiently waiting, Konami announced on the PES13 website, that the official release date for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 in Europe is September 20th, 2012 on Windows, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. A whole new control system, "PES Fullcontrol", has been developed for the title, which will give you full control of you every pass and shot.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will also be released on the Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and the Sony PSP. No word on the USA release yet. Keep checking back for more information.

Twisted Metal Cover Art Released

The next part in the highly anticipated series, Twisted Metal, is right around the corner with a release date of  02/14/. The Twisted Metal game has stuck to the basic characters, but with a new appeal. The game is mostly based online, with each player choosing their own faction. We already know that one of the factions are Sweet Tooth, the ice cream truck murderer.

Jaffe, according to IGN's recent update, Twisted Metal is also going to include a voucher to receive Twisted Metal Black, the original Playstation 2 game from the shop absolutely free! I'll take that!

New SSX game on it's way

EA Sports have announced a new SSX game on its way to all consoles. It's been years since a SSX game has been releasesd, but I still consider the series the best snowboarding games created.
